Implement a translation module
I had already begun on this, but it is quite the project, and its probably a good idea to track my progress.
With MUDs like Imperian and Aetolia, we are already, by design, capturing much of the text the MUD gives us, which gives us the opprotunity to offer translation of those strings into other languages.
Right now a very basic substitution translation is implemented with what I put together in the module called logsogumdr. The meaning for the name: in early nordic communities the logsogumdr was the "law-speaker" or essentially judge, who would be required to know the many nearby tongues (early low gaelic, pictish, so on and so forth) to cast judgement on foreign criminals the same as local ones. It seemed the most appropriate parallel in the nordic stuff I can think of.
Right now, "en_gb" translation is available for Imperian, it is mostly there to be a template or reference for other translation, but it also contains the shortened concat strings as well. On a complete lark, I am working on a "non" translation which is Norront - old Norse. It's an extinct language and I can only do my best to replicate it (often filling it in with bits of Icelandic), but there's no language more appropriate to be the first real translation here, I should think.
For future other translations, please refer to the language by the ISO language code.
